hy Start Up’s Rock at Sales and Business Development

Some of the best sales and business development lessons I’ve learned have come from watching start up’s,

You see, if you want to understand what raw ambition looks like, pure, unadulterated, fully immersed, succeed or die trying focus, then look at a Start Up in launch mode.

Watch what they do. Watch how they do it. Make a note of the speed at which they act.

Why Start Up’s Rock at Sales and Business Development

No-one’s hanging around talking about great ideas…they’re getting on with it.

Making it happen.

Start-up’s have balls.

They act like they own the market. That generates ambition in buckets. Their behaviour is typically that of a SUCCEED or DIE state of mind.

I love that.

It makes them gutsy. Bold.

They get focus, strength and drive.

I love seeing them strain with every ounce of muscle, brain cell and dime they have to make ‘stuff’ happen.

These guys live with the threat of getting it disastrously wrong every day…and yet that makes them bolder.

They sweat over the consequences of failing to take action quickly, decisively and with totally commitment.

Hell, I don’t just love that. I applaud it. From the top of the highest mountain, I’ll applaud these guys every single chance I get.

They’re making it happen.

They must! They just have to.

Failure is not an option….

Neither is leaving opportunity on the table.

Test, try again, do it differently, try again, hungry learners, with a clear sense of ambition, appetite, energy and ego invested in the game.

That’s why Start Up’s Rock at Sales and Business Development, because they have no choice but to get GREAT at it, and to get great at it VERY quickly.

It’s survival.

Compared to the people, comfortable, established, niched in their padded comfort zone, those people who would die rather than go out on a limb to build their business into the dynamic profit machine, job creating colossus it could be.

People who would die before expressing ambition…

I don’t applaud those guys because they play too safe to survive, and in risking nothing, generate nothing, instead of stepping up to what is possible, taking a long hard stare then jumping in with full and total commitment.
